Toilet Paper Drama

Grade 3

One rainy day, my little brother Yashvin and I were playing a game together.

"I have to go to the bathroom," Yashvin said.

"Okay," I replied as soon as he was out of my sight.

"Hi there!" something in a tiny voice said. Barely hearing it, I looked around to see where the little voice was coming from. Then, I looked to my left and saw a tiny man.

"Did you say that?" I asked, panicked.

"Umm, yeah," he replied, "I'm here to help you.” The little man continued.

"In what way?” Backing away, I asked.

"Your little brother has run out of toilet paper!" he said, "And by the way, my name is Mr. Pants."

"Oh, that's so easy to get!" I exclaimed.

"Yes," Mr. Pants agreed. "They are not in the closet. Follow me," he said.

So, I followed him into the basement. "It is up there," he said, pointing up to the highest cabinet, too far and too high for you to reach without any step stool."

"Well, can my dad get it? He's pretty tall," I told Mister Pants.

"Yeah," he said. So, I went up and got my dad. He came down and gave me the box of rolls. Mr. Pants and I gave a roll to my little brother.

"Yay! I can finally play with Mr. Pants," my little brother said.

Grade 3

It all started on a rosy, light Monday morning. I had sneaked into my brother’s room. I had tiptoed towards the neat and cleaned night stand. I opened up the front drawer to find mechanical pencils….his mechanical pencils.

Every day, I had the routine of stealing two pencils and then heading for school. Finally, after five days, my brother asked, “Did you steal my pencils? Ten, If my calculations are correct.”

I get a good glimpse at him. I take the courage to say “May be?”

My brother cried as if he wanted to be seen. I explained to him that I brought them to my friends. “I will give them back on Monday.”

“Fine!” he said, “But they better be back on Monday. By the way, do you know how expensive these pencils are?”
I had no idea.
Soon enough it was Monday. As soon as I hopped aboard the bus, I thought – small things matter!

Krisha

Grade 3

There once lived a girl names Krisha. She lived near the desert. There was a huge drought going on. They desperately needed water. She lived with her parents and had a stuffed animal named Elle. It was an elephant she loved playing with.

One night, she heard a noise. She went outside to see what it was. Surprisingly, Krisha saw a huge elephant right outside her house. She stared in amazement. She tried to run away.
“WAIT! I just want to help you,” said the elephant.
“Okay then can you help me please find water?” Krisha replied.
The elephant said that there might be a stream somewhere in the forest, so she followed the elephant. It took her to a forest where they saw a tiger. She quickly climbed on the elephant, because she was super terrified.

Then Krisha saw the tiger chasing them. She told the elephant to run. ”DO NOT TURN AROUND!” she shouted. The elephant ran as fast as it could. Once they lost sight of the tiger, the elephant took her deeper in the forest. She saw a huge lake. Then they went back home and told everyone about the lake. Everyone drank the water from the lake and lived happily ever after.  They no longer had tongues that were as dry as the desert.

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Kiley. She was in her class when ‘POP’ her mechanical pencils eraser popped out.

“Oh no!” cried Kiley. “Where did it go?”

“Attention!” ordered Mrs. Williams, “We have a math test on paper today!”

Mrs. Williams passed out the test, and Kiley already messed up her name by writing a ‘J’ instead of a ‘K’.

Then Kiley remembered that her best friend Jake was really good at finding missing things. After school ended, Kiley went over to Jakes house to discuss the problem and they came up with a solution. Their solution was to use a magnifying glass. It would be a piece of cake!

They used the magnifying class to search all over.

It’s useless, Jake thought. Jake felt like giving up.

Suddenly, they thought of the Teacher’s desk! They bolted across the room, but it wasn’t on the desk. Kiley was disappointed but the moment she looked down, she saw it.

“WE FOUND IT!” She cried.

Happily, she took it back to her desk and put the eraser back on her mechanical pencil.

Grade 3

Once upon a time, there was a little spider named Kia. Kia was a great warrior who bravely faced everything he came across. He was known as the most poisonous spider in the land. He would always fight like a furious lion! But he only had one goal. It was to beat his enemy the Brown Recluse.

Then one day he felt extremely frustrated that the Brown Recluse was getting praised more than him, so he grabbed his weapons and armor and headed to fight. When he was going on his path, the Brown Recluse came and pushed him into the forest.

At the time, he was scared for the first time in his life but he recovered his bravery and tried once more again. After that his people made a rhyme. They called it “The Great Black Warrior”. The tune went like this (tune of Itsy Bitsy Spider):
The great Black warrior who walked along his path.
Down came the Brown recluse and pushed him in the woods.
Up came his bravery and made him fight some more
So the great black warrior sprinted once again.
